Why do explosion-proof certification?
China's explosion-proof standards are basically formulated according to the International Electrotechnical Commission IEC standards.
The relevant parameters of the same version of the national standard are basically the same as those of the European standard, but due to the lag in time, the relevant parameters of the national standard are different from those of the European standard. Taking the gap of the flameproof joint surface as an example, the national standard IIAIIB implements different gap requirements respectively, while the IEC standard IIA and IIB have already implemented the same parameter requirements in the 2004 and 2007 editions.
However, the requirements of domestic explosion-proof standards are basically the same as those of IEC. China's GB3836 standard (gas) and GB12476 standard (dust) are directly adopted by IECEx explosion-proof standard.
How is the explosion-proof certification area divided?
China adopts and classifies the IEC equivalent method for explosive hazardous locations. According to the provisions of the national standard GB 50058-92, explosive gas hazardous sites are divided into Zone 0, Zone 1, Zone 2 and 3 levels according to their degree of danger:
(1) Zone 0: continuous or long-term occurrence of explosive gas mixtures in the environment;
(2) Zone 1: an environment where explosive gas mixtures may occur during normal operation;
(3) Zone 2: An environment in which explosive gas mixtures cannot occur during normal operation, or where explosive gas mixtures exist only for a short period of time.
Note: Zone 0, Zone 1, and Zone 2 are actually places where products are sold.
1. Flameproof type: explosion-proof mark "d", explosion-proof equipment is suitable for 1.2 areas. Flameproof products mainly consider the structure, shell part design;
2. Intrinsically safe type: explosion-proof mark "I", this explosion-proof type is only applicable to weak current equipment, applicable to 0.1.2. Intrinsically safe products mainly consider circuits, aiming at circuits. PCB circuit design.
