Mechanical shock test
Mechanical impact test:
The main purpose of the impact test is to simulate the impact (mainly impact effect) that may be encountered during the transportation of the product or equipment, and to analyze the ability of the product to withstand the external impact environment through the exchange of transient energy of the shock wave. The purpose of the test is to understand its structural weakness and functional degradation, which is helpful to understand the structural strength and appearance of the product, such as impact resistance and drop resistance. Effectively evaluate product reliability and monitor product line consistency.
the purpose of mechanical impact test:
Through the controllable acceleration and pulse width of the impact, to measure the ability of the product to withstand the impact, but also through professional impact analysis, combined with the corresponding drop data, to measure the strength of the product packaging.
Classification of mechanical shock tests
Mechanical shock test, according to the waveform of the experimental pulse, can be roughly divided into the following categories:
1, half-sine pulse test (half-sine pulse): As the name implies, the pulse waveform generated by this type of impact test is half a sine wave.
2, trapezoidal wave impact test (trapezoidal pulse): As the name implies, the impact waveform is similar to a trapezoid, this test is often called square wave impact test.
3. Final-peak saw-tooth pulse: The waveform of the test impact is a post-peak sawtooth wave.
Other similar tests not applicable to the above mechanical impact analysis. At present, the mechanical impact test mentioned by people should only be the mechanical impact (mechanical shock) test or bump (bump) test of the three waveforms mentioned above in a narrow sense (corresponding to the national standards GB/T2423.5 & 6 respectively). However, there are still many other tests called impact tests in current circulation. People also summarize them as impact tests, which generally include inclined plane impact, spring hammer impact, pendulum impact, etc.
